Summary

The WMS Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as the primary interface between multiple business partners and technology teams to deliver complex, high profile technical solutions that align with business initiatives. The Senior BSA plays key roles across many disciplines within the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, design, and testing. The Senior BSA is responsible for aligning project delivery with technology and business strategies

Primary Job Functions

This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.

1. Partner with the WMS Business to plan and scope business initiatives.

2. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.

 3. Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.

 4. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following as needed: functional requirements through the Business Requirements Document (BRD), DevOps, use cases, Graphical User Interface GUI, screen and interface designs.

5. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical design vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

 6. Perform system set-up, configuration, administrative duties and testing.

7. Suggest best practices and opportunities for improvement through automation

 8. Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.

9. Develop user manuals associated with the applications and conduct user training as needed.

10. Create/Maintain reference documentation. This documentation includes definition and source of data elements.

 11. Manage internal communications during major incidents to all key internal stakeholders and have the ability to translate business processes to technical services and vice-versa.

 12. Eensure all major incident processes guidelines are followed and all service level guidelines are met during major incidents.

13. Supply junior and mid-level business systems analysts with guidance and support as needed.

14. Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.

15. Develop Warehouse Management Testing Strategy, Validate/Approve Test Cases & Results, Perform Independent Testing before turning over to User Acceptance and create necessary documents thereof. 

 Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, Required

Experience:

· 5 years’ experience in a technology environment, Required

Licenses or Certifications

· ITIL Certificate, preferred

· System mapping skills & business Process mapping skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, technical and subject matter experts

· Maintain confidentiality

· Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement

· Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries

· Extensive experience with Warehouse Management Systems from a functional and operational standpoint. Experience with HighJump WMS, or WMS in a furniture industry, is an added advantage.
