CAD Specialist

Description

The Visual Merchandising CAD Specialist will report to the Regional Visual Merchandiser supporting the retail stores with purpose to create and maintain retail floor plans based on quarterly transitions.

Primary Job Functions

• Updates floor plans utilizing AutoCAD and based on product transitions from Merchandising
• Keep all CAD drawings in a standard format to ensure consistency and readability by the Visual Merchandising.
• Collaborates with Regional Visual Merchandiser and store visuals on floor plans
• Set up and print drawings when needed for RVMs, store visual or VP of Visual Merchandising
• Stays abreast of furniture placement standards and current initiatives reflected on floor plans.
• Familiar with Homestore product assortment
• Familiar with individual store location architecture.
• Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the US
• At least 18 years old
• In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Interior Design or Associate Degree in Architectural Drafting
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Document management system
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Maintain confidentiality
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet
• Strong skills in agility, along with the ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities changes on short notice
• Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment
• Work professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treating both with enthusiasm and respect
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and Holidays
• Travel to support business needs
