Are you a college student interested in an immersive summer paid internship program at Ashley Furniture Industries? Are you ready for the opportunity for on-the-job training in health, safety, and security while pursuing your educational goals?
We have a program for you! Ashley Summer Interns will be able to participate in a structured 10 Week program that allows students the opportunity to work full time, in hands on projects that will have a direct impact to the business, while gaining college credits.
You will have the opportunity to conduct various facility assessments;
- Hearing Conservation program position based audiometric surveys
- Dust Hazard surveys
- Machine Risk Assessments
- Behavior Based Task Risk Assessments
- Security Risk Assessments based on current practices
- Chemical Inventory assessment
- Perform Job Safety Analysis leading to the development of Standard Safe Job Procedures and SOPs
- Catalog SDS into uniform Database
- Create and implement Safety Committees
- Develop standard approach to Safety Communication across all facilities
