Director of Fleet Maintenance and Purchasing
What Will You Do?
You will be responsible for developing, managing, monitoring and maintaining policies, procedures and metrics for all truck shops and all outside vendor repairs. Responsible for defining specifications for all vehicles and equipment as well as negotiating purchase price. Contain cost and uptime through optimal preventive maintenance policies and procedures. Accountable for the overall operations of national truck shop policies, procedures and performance.
What Do You Need?
Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Mechanical Engineering, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required
10 years’ experience in transportation maintenance and purchasing, preferably with Volvo and/or Kenworth, Required
Experience with diesel maintenance and preventive maintenance
Experience managing a large owned fleet of diesel/heavy trucks, mechanics, etc.
Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 1 year, preferred
