Interior Design Intern –Tampa, FL

What Will You Do?

As an intern with Ashley, you will be getting real-world, hands-on experience. In our Store Design world, you will be working with our Interior Designers on construction and merchandising plans for Ashley stores! Our primary mission is to design and remodel Ashley retail locations, inspire our customers with visual displays, and create and maintain design standards for the Ashley brand. The team accomplishes this large mission through creating full sets of construction and merchandise documents, project management, budget valuation, construction site visits, procurement, and on-site visual accessorizing/display creation. We collaborate with many internal and external teams, determine process, and design improvements, and implement measures to grow the Ashley brand for all retail project types. You will develop design documents, presentations, and cost estimates for assigned projects that meet the company’s brand and construction principles. Building relationships with clients, you will develop custom building plans as defined by the client and international building guidelines and practices.  What Do You Need?

• Pursuing a degree in Interior Design or similar field, or equivalent work experience, Required 
• Knowledge of interior design concepts and industry practices including color theory, space, lighting, and floor planning 
• A passion for design and a desire to learn!
