Ecommerce Operations Manager


What Will You Do?


  • The Ecommerce Operations Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the financing and payment programs, fraud prevention program, and the eCommerce order interface. This position will work with internal and external partners to address issues and concerns and continually look for ways to improve the processes and systems. This position will also work with management to develop strategy and long-term planning for the eCommerce operations team.
  • The Ecommerce Operations Manager will effectively lead and guide employees by utilizing all resources available. This individual will display leadership traits to promote a positive and professional environment. The Ecommerce Operations Manager will integrate goals and objectives to enhance and increase business and consistently seek new and innovative methods to improve processes within the department and company.
  • Manage the day-to-day needs of the eCommerce Operations team to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction, adherence to standard operating procedures, and high-efficiency completion of tasks.
  • Propose, define, and drive operational projects to completion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver improved processes and site enhancements that are both efficient and cost-effective.
  • Analyze and track performance metrics to continuously improve the ecommerce business.
  • Oversee fraud protection on the website.
  • Drive change and encourage growth by providing guidance and support to employees; aid employees with difficult customers and situations by coaching them, demonstrating effective and professional communication with internal and external customers.
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to optimize customer service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the IT department on current system functionality as well as system improvements.
  • Work with team members to develop and manage key process measures within each area of responsibility.
  • Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area’s goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
  • Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring, and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities.
  • Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
  • Communicate company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.
  • Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.


What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience, Required.
  • 5 years’ experience in ecommerce and business, Required.
  • Small and Large parcel experience.
  • Ability to write SQL queries for reporting analytics activities.
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpret data document finding and present risk or opportunity with the business operations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet.
  • Strong skills in agility, along with the ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities changes on short notice.
  • Strong project management and creative thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Document management system.
