Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC has multiple openings for Data Scientist in Tampa, FL.

Utilize and manipulate custom data sets utilizing structured query language (SQL) to be used in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive modeling. Utilize data sets to deploy machine learning algorithms within a Cloud environment to solve business problem or challenge. Author custom code using R or Python to provide scalable solutions to problems. Visualize results of models with PowerBI, Python, R, Data bricks, or Excel and present findings to stakeholders. Assist stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of business processes and strategies. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques; develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, cost reduction and other business outcomes. Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Job Requirements

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, Economics, Data Science, or a related technical field, and 3 years of experience in finance, analytics, operations, or related role.

Also, must have work experience in:

• Developing scalable machine learning models;
• Programming languages Spark, SQL, R, and Python (all required);
• Sourcing and manipulating custom data sets used in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive modeling;
• Power BI, Databricks & PowerPoint to aid in developing & delivering effective presentations to business; stakeholders based on the research results; and
• Analyzing initiatives and events utilizing transaction-level data.
