Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC has an opening for a Sr. IT Developer in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Plan programs by studying specifications. Arrange specifications by developing logical sequence, preparing flowcharts, and researching solutions. Code specifications by converting logical sequence and workflow into program language. Verify coding by performing unit testing and trial runs. Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic. Meet programming standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identify work process improvements and implement new technology. Prepare program specifications based on documented business requirements. Prepare and review program documentation. Accomplish programming project requirements by coaching and mentoring programmers. Travel required: 10% or less domestic travel required. Full time, 40 hours per week.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related, and four years of experience in object-oriented development. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related, and six years of experience in object-oriented development.
Also must have work experience in:
·Architecting, developing, and consuming web services, including experience with the following API related technologies: REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, and WSDL;
·Integration patterns including Pub-Sub and Eventing;
·Backend database ORM technologies including at least one of the following: dapper, entity framework, or NHibernate;
·Agile methodology and working in a Scrum Team;
·Mentoring, training other developers, helping set expectations with reasonable timetables for development;
·Communicating technical solutions to non-technical team members, providing constructive feedback to other team members and experience with project management; and
·C# or Java.
