Breakdown Supervisor

Summary

The Breakdown Supervisor will oversee the breakdown maintenance department. This position will monitor breakdown calls and develop, implement, and manage templates for consistency of breakdown information. The Breakdown Supervisor will monitor vendor costs on the outside facilities' breakdowns and routine maintenance costs. This position will work with vendors to discuss pricing and service issues and negotiate with vendors to ensure consistent pricing.


Responsibilities

Monitor and manage preventive maintenance interval compliance and equipment repairs at outdoor locations.

Assist in locating new drop lot locations and coordinate and follow-up on vendor documents.

Monitor calls and emails regarding emergency issues; assist with issues as needed.

Manage, oversee, and help the team that answers driver calls regarding maintenance issues with their equipment.

Contact vendors, schedule rentals and towing, and line up vendors for proper repair. Communicate issues

regarding account pricing on truck rentals to vendors.

Review and process invoices for proper billing and update warranty fields in systems as applicable.

Make employment decisions and recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.

Coordinate and manage employees’ work by directing team members to meet the area’s goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.


What Do You Need?

Associate Degree in Mechanics or related field or equivalent work experience, Required

four years’ experience in the transportation industry, Required

Customer Service Experience
